Module 1:

  • AWS Cloud essential concepts

  • AWS networking and other concepts
  • AWS CloudFormation

Exercises

  • Controlling cloud resources with the CLI
  • Controlling ONTAP on-premises resources with NetApp PowerShell Toolkit
  • Configuring resources in AWS with CloudFormation
  • Reviewing resources in the AWS Cloud console
  • Verifying connectivity to the Amazon EC2 instances in the public and private subnets

Module 2:

  • Network connectivity options in AWS

Lessons:

  • AWS VPC connectivity to an on-premises network

Exersises:

  • Connecting an AWS VPC to an on-premises network
  • Configuring the on-premises DNS for AWS (optional)

Module 3:

  • Deploy a connector

Exercises:

  • Deploying a single-node Cloud Volumes ONTAP instance with NFS
  • Creating an SMB volume and accessing it from an SMB client
  • Deploying a Cloud Volumes ONTAP HA pair
  • Performing failover and failback of the HA pair of nodes
  • Connecting an SMB client from outside the VPC by using a transit gateway

  • Administration

  • Administering Cloud Volumes ONTAP

Exercises:

  • Using BlueXP for basic administration of Cloud Volumes ONTAP
  • Administering BlueXP with RBAC

Module 6:
