Detailed Course Outline
The HP Data Protector software Basics course is a level 200 comprehensive technical-based training that teaches the skills necessary for planning, installing, configuring, and anaging HP Data Protector core components. This training will also provide an overview of optional features such as: online extensions for VMware, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft applications and Data Protector Zero Downtime Backup integration with the HP StorageWorks EVA. The training is designed for solution architects who need to engage in technical discussions with customers, install Data Protector in lab or demo environment, or develop a proof of concept. The training is comprised of 8 modules:
- Introduction*
- Devices and media management and backup to disk*
- Online Extensions 1: Oracle, SAP, MS SQL
- Online Extensions 2: VSS, Exchange, SharePoint
- VMware integration*
- Zero Downtime Backup and Instant Recovery for the HP StorageWorks EVA Encryption*
- Data Protector Notebook Extension
*Modules include content which might be useful when preparing for the Data Protector for Windows certification exam.
